Quicksand Interiors Album Review. Pushing them forward into the 21st century whilst also embracing what made them a good band to begin with. Those two albums were a huge part of my teen and college years they are wrapped in a layer of reminiscence that has transformed them.
Read our review to find out what we made of it. It feels like stepping into extended but worthy of being title tracks off their debut album Slip. The combination of artists with such storied legacies and catalogues wouldnt have resulted in a disaster by any means but even though this is still pretty good something that offers a little more wouldnt be out.
22 years down the line Quicksand have released a brand new album in the form of Interiors.
And for us 30-something year old 90s vets its like Quicksand never left us in the first place. After failing to conjure up a third album in the late 90s due internal and musical differences Quicksand reunite with their first release in over 20 years. More than anything Interiors is something of a transitional album one that has Quicksand on the cusp of regaining their balance after such a long period of time away but not quite hitting it yet. You would think that an album released after a 22 year gap would come across as exhausted and lacking merit.
